William Samuel Ramsey

William Samuel Ramsey, age 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Ramsey was born on December 8, 1942 in Clay KY to the late Samuel Pratt Ramsey and Agnes Marie Shelton Ramsey. He was a self-employed merchandiser and a member of Lonestar Pentecostal Church. Mr. Ramsey was a UK Basketball fan and enjoyed golfing and being “Grandad” to his four grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter ~ Judy (Roger) Martin of Hanson, KY; two sons ~ Walt (Marianne) Ramsey of Hanson, KY and Edwin Samuel Ramsey of Owensboro, KY; two brothers ~ John (Kay) Ramsey of Madisonville, KY and Earl (Jeannette) Ramsey of Dalton, KY; four grandchildren ~ Lauren Marie (Chris) Capps, Ashlee Carol Martin, Samuel Brian Ramsey and Mary Kathleen Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews.



Mr. Ramsey is preceded in death by his wife ~ Shirley Bayer Ramsey and a sister ~ Mary Delaine Ramsey.



Visitation for Mr. William Samuel Ramsey will be on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 12:00 – 12:45 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Graveside services will be conducted at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Roy Duke officiating.



Pallbearers will be Chris Capps, Joey Bayer, Roger Martin, Samuel Ramsey, Allen Bayer and Mickey Bayer. Kerry Ramsey and Lara Ramsey will be Honorary

Pallbearers.



In an effort to deter the spread of covid-19 face masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
