William Carmon Mathes

William Carmon Mathes, age 85, of Beulah, KY passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Mathes was born on July 6, 1937 in Charleston, KY to the late William Floyd Mathes and Girthie Elizabeth Dockery Mathes. He was a UMWA Coal Miner having worked at the Colonial P&M Mine for over 35 years. He was a member of the former Beulah Universalist Church.

Mr. Mathes is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Nancy Ann Thomas Mathes of Beulah, KY; son, Carmon Dale Mathes of Beulah, KY; two grandchildren, Nathan Tapp (Madeline) of Manitou, KY and Brooklyn Jones (Heath) of Nebo, KY; two great-grandchildren, Leland Tapp and Mason Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Ann Mathes, and sister, Paulean Jenkins.

Visitation for Mr. William Carmon Mathes will be Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Cody Crowell officiating. Burial will follow at the New Beulah Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Kyle Lamb, Nathan Tapp, Brian Thomas, David Armond, Brian Arnold and Stephen Arnold.
