Willadean Ladd Townzen

Willadean Townzen, age 89, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Tradewater Health and Rehab in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Mrs. Townzen was born on May 8, 1927 in Ilsley, KY to the late Dixon and Marie Sandefur Ladd. She was a 1946 graduate of the School of Cosmetology in Henderson, KY and worked as a beautician for more than 30 years and was the owner of T’s Beauty Box.



Mrs. Townzen is survived by her husband of 71 years ~ William “Bill” Townzen of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter and son-in-law ~ Kathy and Steve Smiley of Dawson Springs, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Jeff and Ann Townzen of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren ~ Chadwick Claxton Townzen, Amanda Stamm, Dawn Lyon Lombard and David Jason Lyon; and six great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother ~ William Dexter “W.D.” Ladd.



Visitation for Mrs. Willadean Townzen will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 8:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating.
