Wanda Rose Howton

Wanda Rose Howton, age 76, of Hanson, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the residence of her son & daughter-in-law in Hanson, KY. Mrs. Howton was born on January 16, 1945 to Orbie Oliver and Callie Mae Johnson Oliver in Princeton, KY. Mrs. Howton was a wonderful seamstress and worked for Arvins’ and Ottenheimers’ for many years. She also worked as a “babysitter” for friends and family for many years. She was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church.



Mrs. Howton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Hollie Howton of Hanson, KY; a chosen daughter, Lori (Ray) Back of Dawson Springs, KY; four sisters, Ernestine Gray, Sue Hobgood, Brenda Davis, and Betty Walters; six grandchildren, Seth (Tiffany) Howton, Haiden Howton, Jake Back, Maddie Back, Avery Howton and Mollie Back; two great-grandsons, Sawyer Howton and Samuel Howton.



Preceding Mrs. Howton in death are her parents; her beloved husband of 55 years, Jerry Wayne Howton; son, Michael Howton; brother, Ernest Oliver and sister, Peggy Lamb.



Visitation for Wanda Rose Howton will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at Noon, 12:00 PM, at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Brad Giffin, Rev. Seth Howton, and Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Princeton, KY.



Pallbearers include Haiden Howton, Jake Back, Ray Back, Chris Howton, Brad Howton and Nicholas Howton.
