Tommie Delane Dunning, age 79, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Dunning was born on February 2, 1941 to the late Noble Gordon Love and Ola Mae Messamore Love. She retired after serving 25 years with the Hopkins County School District where she worked in the lunchrooms of both the Charleston and West Hopkins Schools. She attended the New Beginning Life Church.
Mrs. Dunning is survived by the love of her life and husband of 63 years, Alton Junior Dunning of Dawson Springs, KY; three daughters, Daphne Delane (George Jr.) Johnson of Madisonville, KY, Rita Faye (David) Smith and Beverly Ann (Troy) Linville of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons, Niles Alton Dunning and James Scott (Gloria) Dunning of Dawson Springs, KY; and one brother, Larry (Marie) Love of Dawson Springs, KY; eight grandchildren, Christy Ann Darnell, Bo McGregor, J.J. Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Matt Johnson, Shawn Linville, Felicia Loney and Brooklyn Cox; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hilton Ray Eison, Jerry Leroy Eison and an infant brother.
Visitation for Mrs. Tommie Delane Dunning will be Friday, September 18, 2020, from 10:00 AM CST until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM CST at Beshear Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Dawson Springs, KY 42408 with Rev. Dwight Darnell officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bo McGregor, J.J. Johnson, Cody Cox, Shawn Linville, Matt Johnson and Jordan Loney. In an effort to prevent covid-19 infections all attendees must wear face masks and observe social distancing. The service will be “live streamed” on Beshear Funeral Home facebook live.
