Thomas Edward Spurlin

Thomas Edward Spurlin, age 65, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mr. Spurlin was born on October 1, 1952, in Madisonville, KY to the late Thomas LaPradd and Dorothy Estelle Coombs Cook. He retired after years of working as a dozer operator for surface coal mines.



Mr. Spurlin is survived by his wife ~ Helen Spurlin of Eddyville, KY; a son ~ Chad (Amber) Spurlin of Dawson Springs, KY, a brother ~ Lonnie (Beverly) Spurlin of Dawson Springs, KY, three grandchildren ~ Brylee Spurlin, Dylan Cox, and Josey Spurlin; two step daughters ~ Rebecca Iamsa of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kimberly Defew of Lyon County, KY, a step son ~ Walter Cox of Princeton, KY, and two nephews ~ Tom Spurlin and Lonnie Ray Spurlin of Dawson Springs, KY. Mr. Spurlin was preceded in death by his parents.



A Graveside Service will be held for Thomas Edward Spurlin on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, 11:00 AM at the McNeely Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Sellers, officiating.



Active Pallbearers will be: Jimmy McCord, Jeremy McCord, Lonnie Ray Spurlin, Tom Spurlin, Larry Messamore and George Lamb.
