Shirley J. Jones Kembel, age 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at NHC Healthcare, Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Kembel was born on June 16, 1940 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Crill Timmons Sharp. She was a member of the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, and she was a retired Pharmacy Tech with Hopkins County Hospital where she worked for 48 years.



Mrs. Kembel is survived by her husband ~ Richard Kembel of Madisonville, KY, a daughter ~ Sherry Mitchell of Madisonville, a son ~ Barry (Natalie) Jones of Evansville, IN, two step daughters ~ Amy Bryant of Nashville and Michelle Brown of Dawson Springs, two step sons ~ Scott Kembel of Dawson Springs and Eric Kembel of St. Charles, two brothers ~ Bill (Donna) Sharp of Florida, Justin (Jackie) Sharp of Louisiana, one brother-in-law ~ Charles (Ina) Kembel of Madisonville, four grandchildren ~ Bailey and Brody Jones of Evansville, Alex and Joe Mitchell of Florida, seven step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.



Mrs. Kembel is preceded in death by her mother, her first husband ~ Perry Jones, two sisters ~ Edith Terry and Dorothy Ship, a brother ~ James Sharp, a Niece ~ Pam Sharp, a Nephew ~ Robbie Sharp and a step-granddaughter ~ Krista Huddleston.



Visitation for Mrs. Kembel will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY and on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with the Revs. Roy Finley and Roger Felker officiating. Burial will follow at the New Suthards Cemetery near Earlington. Active pallbearers include ~ Chris Baird, Jimmy Lamb, Carl Winters, Stan Utley, Danny Korb and Brian Korb. Honorary Pallbearers include: Hugh Wayne Offutt, Donnie Patterson, Roy Qualls, John Frazier, Darrel Qualls, Dr. Jerry Stodgel, Robert Clifford and Al Porter.
