Shirley T. Gibson

Shirley T. Gibson, age 84, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Madisonville Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY. Ms. Gibson was born on October 16, 1940 in St. Charles, KY to the late Edward Johnson and Eddie Ford Johnson. Shirley retired after working many years at Outwood Hospital and was a member of Dawson Springs Baptist Temple.

Ms. Gibson is survived by two daughters ~ Carol Ann (Scotty) Mitchell of Madisonville, KY and Shirley Dean (Scott) Pendley of Dawson Springs, KY and three grandchildren ~ Aaron Hunter Pendley, Colby Shane (Paige) Johnson and Abigail Faith (Aaron) Rodgers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter ~ Roxie Johnson; her sister ~ Geneva Johnson and her brother ~ Edward Johnson. Graveside Services will be held for Shirley Gibson at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Aaron Hunter Pendley, Troy Giffin, Wade Workman, Scottie Wayne Mitchell, Ross Workman and Aaron Rodgers. Honorary Pallbearer will be Scott Pendley.
