Sherry Jean Jennings

Sherry Jean Jennings, age 72, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Baptist Health of Madisonville, KY. She was born in Webster

County, KY on September 22, 1946 to the late Charles and Pauline Hawkins. She was a 1964 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she retired after working for nineteen years with Goodyear Manufacturing. Additionally, she worked for many years at the “Hickory Pit Restaurant” in Dawson Springs, KY. She was of Baptist Faith.



She is survived by her husband of many years, Jeff Jennings of Dawson Springs, KY, two daughters and sons-in-law, Alexia (Tony) Dunn of Evansville, IN, and Krissy (Jimmy) McElfresh of Madisonville, KY, and one son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Autumn) Jennings of Prospect, KY, three sisters, Kaye Hooper of Hopkinsville, KY, Nancy (David) Sturtevant of Kingston Springs, TN, and Sheila (Greg) Corn of Beech Grove, KY, and three brothers, David Hawkins and Perry Hawkins of Hopkinsville, KY, and Rick (Carol) Hawkins of Mount Vernon, IN; nine grandchildren including Nathan Dunn, Colin McElfresh, Kailee Dunn, Eli Dunn, Christopher McElfresh, Everett Jennings, Winston Jennings, Thatcher Jennings and Harlan Jennings.



In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hawkins.



A public visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until a Memorial Service Hour at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with the Rev. Rick Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery.
