Sharon Paulette Hulsey

Sharon “Paulette” Hulsey, age 79, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of St. Charles, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess, Madisonville, KY. Ms. Hulsey was born on October 8, 1945 in St. Charles, KY to the late Mark Smith, Sr. and Pauline Cannon Smith. She was of strong Christian faith and sang gospel music for many years first with her husband, Leon Hulsey & Teresa Crick, and later with her daughter, Melissa Dawn Kinlaw, and her husband, Leon Hulsey. Additionally, she was a graduate of Head’s West Beauty College in Madisonville, KY and worked for many years as a Beautician. 

 Ms. Hulsey is survived by her fiance’, Richard Kimbel, Madisonville; two daughters, Janice Lynn Long (Curtis) of Nortonville; and Melissa Dawn Kinlaw (Kevin) of Madisonville; two sons, Michael Leon Hulsey of Clarkville, TN and Paul Steven Hulsey (Pie) of Georgia; one brother, Tex Smith (Janet) of Dawson Springs; sister, Lois LaPradd of St. Charles; thirteen grandchildren including Ashley, Alicia, Brook, David, Daniel, Rachelle, Josh, Michael Ray, Blade, Caleb, Summer, Kaanan and Dallas; and many great grandchildren.

 Sharon Paulette Hulsey was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Leon Hulsey; infant brother, Mark Allen Smith; brother, Mark “Junior” Smith; Sister, Julia Myerl DeLong; and a grandchild, Krystal White. 

 Visitation for Sharon Paulette Hulsey will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY, and on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brian Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Gilland Ridge Cemetery.  Active pallbearers are Blade Long, Caleb Kinlaw, Kaanan Kinlaw, Dallas Kinlaw, Kevin Kinlaw and David Hulsey. Honorary pallbearers are Ashley Hulsey, Daniel Hulsey, Josh Hulsey and Michael Ray Long.
