Rosie Mae Dockery

Rosie Mae Dockery, age 83, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Tradewater Health and Rehabilitation in Dawson Springs, KY. Mrs. Dockery was born on January 4, 1940 to the late John Purdy and Maebell Mitchell Purdy. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was a member of Charleston First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter ~ Janice (Joe) Dunlap of Dawson Springs, KY; a son ~ James Andrew (Donna) Dockery of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Thelma “Jeannie” Griffin of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Norman Purdy of Madisonville, KY; five granddaughters ~ Sarah (Allen) Adams, Rebekah (Jordan) Dalton, Mikaela (Scott) Ashby, Hannah (Eric) Jacobs and Jessyle (Robert) Spalding; and ten great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband~ James Edward Dockery and a brother ~ James Charles “J.C.” Purdy.

Visitation for Rosie Mae Dockery will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Patrick Yates will officiate the service. Burial will follow at New Beulah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Adams, Scott Ashby, Robert Spalding, Jordan Dalton, Eric Jacobs and Austin Adams.
