Hopkinsville

On July 19, 2024, the world lost a beacon of kindness and generosity with the passing of Rodney Lee Baucum at his residence. He was born on July 27, 1966, in Madisonville, KY to the late James Willis and Rachel Bruce Baucum. Rodney's impact on his community through his volunteer work for local charities and his dedication to the YMCA will be a lasting legacy cherished by all who knew him.

Rodney warm spirit and caring nature touched the lives of many. He found joy in simple pleasures, from attending concerts and movies to relishing events. His love for swimming in his pool and his passion for travel, especially to Florida and the Smokey Mountains, added vibrancy to his life. Additionally, his faith was an integral part of who he was; heading to church brought him solace and connection.

Rodney will be deeply missed by those who survive him: Brenda Campbell of Georgia (sister), Kathy Pleasant of Nortonville, KY (sister), Cardyn Parker and her husband, Aldin, of Crofton, KY (sister), Teresa Miles of Dawson Springs, KY (sister), Bruce Baucum and his wife Charlotte of Dawson Springs, KY (brother), Morse Baucum and his wife Kathy of Dawson Springs, KY (brother), Dewayne Baucum and his wife Christine of Morgantown, KY (brother).
