Roberta Franklin

Roberta Franklin, age 89, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Franklin was born on September 13, 1918 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Albert Wesley Smith and Lelar Josephine Sneed Smith. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was of the General Baptist faith.



Survivors include a daughter ~ Louise Franklin of Dawson Springs, KY; a special pet ~ Tipper of Dawson Springs, KY; a sisters ~ Dorothy Nell Smith Franklin of Central City, KY; a granddaughter ~ Brandy Kidd and many nieces,



Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years ~ Luther M. Franklin; brothers ~ Vernon Smith, Ellis Smith and a sister ~ Justine Vandiver.



Visitation for Mrs. Roberta Franklin will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY at noon with Charles Franklin officiating.
