Robert Lewis Abbott

Robert Lewis Abbott, age 78, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on October 22, 2017 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Abbott was born on October 22, 1939 in Christian County, KY to the late Charlie Abbott and Burcha Menser Abbott. He was a retired Electrician for the Hopkins County School System.



Surviving family members include his wife of 41 years ~ Barbara Sisk Abbott of Dawson Springs, a daughter ~ Jeannette (Phillip) Wilson of Bluffton, SC, three sons including ~ Brian Keith (Lori) Abbott of Metropolis, IL, Robert Kendall Abbott of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Kevin Lewis (Emily) Abbott of Dawson Springs, a Step Son ~ Neal Gilford of Dawson Springs, one brother ~ Charles Wayne (Alice) Abbott of Madisonville, and one sister ~ Martha (Scotty Ray, Sr.) Parsons of Dawson Springs; ten grandchildren ~ Seth Wilson, Jacob (Hannah) Abbott, Ashley Gilford, Noah Abbott, Steven Bearden, Nathan Bearden, Isiah Abbott, Christian Abbott, Charles Abbott, and Elizabeth Abbott; three Great-Grandchildren ~ Ashlynn Wilson, Wyatt Wilson and Abby May Johnston.



He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister.



Visitation for Mr. Robert Lewis Abbott will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services to be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Fuller and Rev. Kathy Redden officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Butler County, Kentucky.
