Robert Earl Cain, age 81, of Eddyville, KY passed away on April 18, 2020 at Princeton Health & Rehab Center, Princeton, KY. Mr. Cain was born in Caldwell County, KY on January 24, 1939 to the late Charles Henry Cain and Vera Belle Collins Cain. Mr. Cain served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1959 through 1968. Additionally, he retired from Kentucky State Government after serving as a cook at the Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville, KY. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Princeton, KY.
Mr. Cain is survived by a step-son, Joe (Dawn) Villines of Eddyville, KY; a sister-in-law, Betty Cain of Princeton, KY and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tylene Villines Cain; three brothers, Jesse Cain, Billy Cain, and Charles Cain; four sisters, Elizabeth Lynch, Edith Talbert, Bertha Guill, and Kathleen McRoy.
In compliance with health and public safety directives and the Governor of Kentucky’s Executive Order, a private service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Marilyn Cain, Minister, officiating. Private burial will be in the Traylor Cemetery.
