Rita Faye Stokes

Rita Faye Nash Stokes, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess, Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Stokes was born on April 17, 1943 to the Herbert Nash and Euvalene Baxter Nash. She was a 1961 graduate of Charleston High School and worked for 45 years as an administrative assistant at the Hopkins County Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Stokes was a member of Charleston Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stokes is survived by her husband of 54 years ~ Marvin Kenneth “Kenny” Stokes of Dawson Springs, KY;  her daughter ~ Pam Woods of Texas; her brother ~ Roger Nash of Orange Beach, FL and one grandson ~ Chaz Woods.

Preceding Mrs. Stokes in death were her parents; a daughter ~ Marnita Stokes; an infant son ~ Michel Stokes; two sisters ~ Jody Nichols and Mary McGregor and twin infant children.

 Visitation for Rita Faye Nash Stokes will be Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM with Rev. Patrick Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Gove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark McGregor, David Stokes, Ben Herran, Johnny McGregor and Jeff Nash.
