Richard P. “Red” Johnson, age 80, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born on November 4, 1936 in Dawson Springs to the late Hamby Johnson and Louise Ford Lovelace. He was a self employed plumber and of Christian Faith.
Surviving family members include his daughter and son-in-law ~ Jackie and Jim Gordon of Dawson Springs, his son ~ Rick Johnson of Dawson Springs, two sisters ~ Mary Jane Mancini of New York and Nancy Rose of Dawson Springs, brother ~ Jody Johnson of Madisonville, two grandchildren ~ Missy (JJ) Johnson and Allison Gordon, and two great grandchildren ~ Sophie and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife ~ Lena Faye Marshall Johnson (departed 6-19-2002), and a brother ~ Tim Johnson.
Visitation for Mr. Richard “Red” Johnson will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the service time, 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services to be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 31, 2017 with the Rev. Sam Haulk officiating. Military Honors will be provided at the conclusion of the service by the U.S. Navy prior to burial at the Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.
Active Pallbearers include Rick Johnson, JJ Johnson, Melvin Todd, Scott Johnson, Casey Johnson and Brandon Johnson.
