Rev. Johnny D. Gibson

Rev. Johnny D. Gibson, age 67, of Hanson, KY passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his residence. Rev. Gibson was born on June 29, 1951 in Bell County, KY to the late Rev. Jessie Gibson and Bonnie Partin Gibson. Bro. Gibson was currently pastor of Ilsley Community Church in Hopkins County, KY. He previously pastored the Beulah Bible Church and the Hawkins Church and Olney Gospel Fellowship Church. He was retired from General Electric in Madisonvile and had also worked as a coal miner for many years at Pyro Mining Company and Island Coal Company Fies #9.



Rev. Gibson is survived by his wife of 47 years ~ Patricia Larkins Gibson of Hanson, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Brian and Belinda Gibson of Hanson, KY; two grandsons ~ Caleb and Joshua Gibson of Hanson, KY; a sister ~ Shirley Peyton of Dalton, KY; a brother and sister-in-law ~ Bobby and Ann Gibson of Dixon, KY and several nieces and nephews.



Preceding Rev. Gibson in death were his parents and two sisters ~ Caroline Love and Kathy Wyatt.



Visitation for Rev. Johnny D. Gibson will be on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with Rev. Charlie Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Silent Run Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY
