Phyllis Jeanne Morris Howton

Phyllis Jeanne Morris Howton, age 86, of Madisonville, KY, formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Howton was born on February 23, 1932 in Crofton, KY to the late Bazil Bryant Morris and Dorris May Poole Morris. She was a mother and homemaker, a graduate of Dawson Springs High School and a member of First Christian Church in Dawson Springs, KY.



Mrs. Howton is survived two daughters and sons-in-law ~ Jane and Stephen Strait of Dawson Springs, KY and Melissa and Danny Fain of Earlington, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Scott and Penny Simons of Dawson Springs, KY; ten grandchildren ~ Greg Simons, Matthew Bone, Rebekah Caudill, Scott Mason, Adam Boulden, Sean Michael Mason, Mackenzie Riggs, Erin Cantrell, Rachel Mullins and Will Simons and nine great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Lewis Wayne Howton (departed 2/12/2007); her daughter ~ Ellen Simons; a grandson ~ Gabe Simons and a sister ~ Montel Morris Long.



Visitation for Mrs. Phyllis Jeanne Morris Howton will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Mochenrose officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
