Myrna Jean Jones

Myrna Jean Jones, age 80, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Tradewater Health & Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY. Ms. Jones was born on January 14, 1937 in Providence, KY to the late Isaac Workman and Maxine Long Workman. She was a mother and homemaker and was a 1955 graduate of Charleston High School. Ms. Jones was a member of Charleston Baptist Church.



Ms. Jones is survived by a daughter and son-in-law ~ Debra and Elliott Mitchell of Henderson, KY; a son ~ Kent N. Jones of Louisville, KY; a sister ~ Melinda Young of White Plains, KY; two brothers ~ Rev. Kent Workman of Hopkinsville, KY and Philip Workman of Norman, OK; four grandchildren ~ Jonathan Mitchell, Jared Mitchell, Christopher Jones and Heidi Shepherd and twelve great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents and a son ~ Timothy Jones.



Visitation for Myrna Jean Jones will be on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM until noon at Charleston Baptist Church in Charleston, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held at noon at Charleston Baptist Church with the Rev. Jared Mitchell and Rev. Kent Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Gene Workman, Luke Hopper, Wayne Workman, Jonathan Mitchell, Mike Workman, Philip Workman and Rev. Kent Workman.
