Ms. Shirley Jean Melton

Shirley Jean Melton, age 78, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky passed away on November 15, 2014 at her residence. Ms. Melton was born on May 21, 1936 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Roy Beshear and Margaret Dockrey Beshear. She worked as a cook at the Tradewater Pointe in Dawson Springs, and she was a member of the Midway Valley Pentecostal Church.



Ms. Melton is survived by three daughters ~ Beverly (Steve) Renfro, Dawson Springs, KY, Sharon Hughes, Crofton, KY, and Joan (Denny) Sewell, Princeton, KY; and a son ~ Russell Melton of Nebo, KY; two sisters ~ Wanda Calvert of Dawson Springs, KY, and Debbie Futrell of Cadiz, KY; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Melton is preceded in death by her husband~ James Russell Melton (departed 5-2-11).



There will be no visitation and no service.
