Ms. Linda Kaye Miller

July 27, 1943 — August 27, 2012

Linda Kaye Miller, age 69, of Abbeville, LA and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA after a long and valiant fight against diabetes and renal disease. Ms. Miller was born July 27, 1943 in Longview, WA.



After moving to Louisiana, Linda Kaye embraced life fully by dedicating herself to numerous charities including but not limited to the Faith House, a shelter for battered women, the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic and her second family at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Linda never met a stranger and made many lifelong friends at Village du Lac and Our Lady of Mercy. She was extremely honored to have been appointed by the governor of Louisiana to serve as a board member on the Louisiana Commission for the Needs of Women.



She is survived by her son, Shawn Robinson, his wife Celeste and their daughter Audrey of Versailles, KY, her son Phillip Miller, his wife Penny and their son Logan of Hopkinsville, KY, and her daughter Kaylin Miller of Dawson Springs, KY. Other survivors include her mother Colene Cluck of Abbeville, LA, brother Larry Cluck and his wife Bonnie of Olmstead Township, OH, sister Joyce Gayle Raeuchle and her husband Kurt, of Lafayette, LA, as well as the following aunts and uncles: Cleatus Glover of Columbus, OH, Kathyrn and Herman Fox of Madisonville, KY, Zetta Noga of Lincoln City, CA, Joyce Glass of Versailles, KY, Tina Ford of Pensacola, FL, Floyedith Stills of Dixon, KY and Jerry Higgins of Madisonville, KY. She left behind several nieces and nephews: Bonnie Taylor, Joe Cluck and Christie Neubauer. She was especially close to her sister’s children, Kortney West and Kelsey Raeuchle.



She was preceeded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Daisy May Glover, her father, Carl Elliot Cluck, her granddaughter Amilya Charlotte Miller, and her aunt Patsy Kohutek.



Visitation will begin Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6 until 9 p.m. , at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Visitation will resume at the funeral home from 9 until the funeral hour at 10:30 A.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY on September 1, 2012 with Dr. Larry Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Shyflat Tabernacle Cemetery near Dawson Springs, KY.



Active Pallbearers are Shawn Robinson, Phillip Miller, William “Bill” Fox, Larry Cluck , Larry Cunningham and Donnie Ford.
