Ms. Jean Bucy Stokes

Jean Bucy Stokes, age 89, of Weddington, NC and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, went to be with her Lord in Heaven at 11:56 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence. Ms. Stokes was born on April 30, 1925 in Caldwell County, Kentucky near Dawson Springs to the late Nicus Samuel Bucy and Bertha Marie Stewart Bucy. She was a graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she was a homemaker and beloved mother. Ms. Stokes was a member of the First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, Indian Trail, NC.



Ms. Stokes is survived by her loving daughter & son & law ~ Joyce S. (John) Cochran of Weddington, NC; two grandsons ~ John David (Jessica) Cochran of Charlotte, NC, and Joey (Erin) Cochran of Mandeville, LA, and two great granddaughters ~ Chloe and Kinsley. Additionally, Ms. Stokes is survived by a sister ~ Anita Mullins of Dawson Springs, KY, and two brothers ~ Johnny Bucy of Huntsville, AL and Theron Bucy of Tampa, FL.



Preceding Ms. Stokes in death are her parents, her husband of 48 years ~ Niles Marvin Stokes (departed 3/5/1994), and a brother ~ Heman Lee Bucy.



Visitation will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Burial will follow in Ausenbaugh Cemetery, Caldwell County, KY.
