Ms. Georgia Wright Wagner

Georgia Wright Wagner, age 88, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Wagner was born on April 29, 1927 in Madisonville, KY to the late Lafayette and Myrtle Dockery Wright . She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper at Woolworths, Ben Franklin and Harned Insurance and Finance. Mrs. Wagner was a graduate of Madisonville High School and was a member of Life Christian Center in Madisonville, KY. She was also a volunteer at the Dawson Springs Museum and Art Center.



Mrs. Wagner is survived by two daughters ~ Denise Wagner Ridley of Chicago Ridge, IL and Darsi (James) Wagner Britt of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Sue Jennings Oldham of Deland, FL; three grandsons ~ Nathan Britt of Dawson Springs, KY, Dr, Eric Britt of Dawson Springs, KY and Mike Britt of Magnolia, AR; four great-grandchildren ~ Chloe, Elijah, Makayla and Myles Britt. Additionally, she is survived by two very special caregivers: Martha Williamson and Patsy Purdy.



She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years ~ Lawrence Wayne Wagner (departed 6/23/2012), two sisters ~ Ruth Wright Burns and Mary Jane Wright and two brothers ~ G.A. Wright and Finley Wright.



Visitation for Mrs. Georgia Wright Wagner will be on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home on Monday, May 25, 2015 with Dr. H.O. “Pat” Wilson officiating, assisted by Dr. Michael Knight. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
