Ms. Elaine Lisanby Thomas

Elaine Lisanby Thomas, age 83, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Ms. Thomas was born on April 1, 1930, in the Piney Grove section of Caldwell County, KY, to the late Albert Lisanby and Berth Menser Lisanby. She enjoyed working at Outwood from where she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lioness Club and Tops Club.



Ms. Thomas is survived by two sons- Rick Hickerson of Caldwell County, KY, and Andy (Kathy) Hickerson of Dawson Springs, KY; one sister- Phyllis (Lofton) Stallons, Cadiz, KY; two brothers- Wayne (Fran) Lisanby of Dawson Springs, KY, and Howard (Ellene) Lisanby of Pekin, IL; five grandchildren- Stephanie Johnston, Carol Dismang, Emily Abbott, Chad Hickerson, and Eric Hickerson.



Preceding Ms. Lisanby in death was her parents, husband- Hoyt Edward Thomas (2-11-13), a grandson- Jason Hickerson, a brother- Rev. Rufus Lisanby, four sisters- Nina Mae Poole, Dean Kem, Cara Lou Crayton, and Polly Mason.



Visitation for Ms. Thomas will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 and from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 9, 2013 with Revs. Jackie Patterson and Kathy Redden officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be Chad Hickerson, Kevin Abbott, Keith Dismang, Steven Bearden, Joseph Johnston, Nathan Bearden, Seth Dismang, and Caleb Hickerson.
