Ms. Callie Louise Knight

Callie Louise Knight, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, TN. Ms. Knight was born on November 5, 1938 near Ilsley, KY to the late James Elijah Steeley and Ethel Elizabeth Johnson Steeley Shropshire. She was a graduate of South Hopkins High School and Hopkinsville Community College. She worked as a certified central sterile tech with Jennie Stuart Hospital prior to retirement. She was a member of the Dawson Springs First Baptist Church.



Ms. Knight is survived by a daughter ~ Deborah Oystor of Cookeville, TN; three sons ~ Rick Bruce of Bowling Green, KY, Ben Bruce of Hendersonville, TN, and Tommy Bruce of Hopkinsville, KY; two step daughters ~ Nancy Bagby and Thelma Camplin both of Pembroke, KY; one sister ~ Linda Shelby of Dawson Springs, KY, and a brother ~ J.D. Steeley of Dawson Springs, KY; nineteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Amos Bailey Knight (DOD 7-1-2014) and a sister ~ Dorothy Maddox.



Visitation for Callie Louise Knight will be on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with the Rev. Jackie Perkins and Rev. Randall Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke, KY.



Active Pallbearers will be: Amos, Michael, Caleb, Johnathan, Joseph, Justin, Aaron, and Josh. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jake.
