Ms. Betty Sue Redden Ausenbaugh Summers

Betty Sue Redden Ausenbaugh Summers, age 81, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. She was born in Caldwell County, KY on February 24, 1933 to the late Elvis A. Redden and Lou Ada Capps Redden. Ms. Summers was the owner & operator of Ausenbaugh Grocery for several years. She was the manager of Venice Menser’s Mini Market for several years. And finally, she worked for the Ottenheimer garment factory for twenty years. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Dawson Springs Chapter #133.



She is survived by by two sisters ~ Joyce Redden Ball and Joann Redden Cluck of Goodletsville, TN, two brothers ~ Allen Redden and Wayne Redden both of Dawson Springs, KY, three step sons ~ Mickey, Scott and Jeff Summers, and one step daughter ~ Regina Summers McKnight, several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



Ms. Summers is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband ~ Billy J. Ausenbaugh, her second husband ~ Neal Summers, two brothers ~ Donald Redden and William Earl Redden,, and one step daughter ~ Pam Baird.



Funeral services for Ms. Summers will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with the Rev. Bobby McKnight officiating. A visitation for Ms. Summers will be held beginning on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM., and additionally on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.



Active pallbearers include: Joe Redden, Roger Redden, Johnny Cranor, Richard Jackson, Paul Krueger, and Jon Baird. Honorary pallbearers include: Garnett Young, Scott Summers, Mickey Summers, Scotty Alexander, David Hunt, Don Drake, and Dr. Dilip.
