Mrs. Yvonne Shelton Chappell

Yvonne Shelton Chappell, age 51, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, Owensboro, KY after a long and valiant fight against cancer. She was born on March 8, 1962 in Hopkins County, KY to Robert L. and Bettye Gilbreath Shelton. Yvonne was a 1980 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and received her associate degree in nursing in 1995. She worked with DaVita Dialysis Center in Hopkinsville, KY. She was of the Christian faith.



She is survived by her parents ~ Robert L. & Bettye Shelton of Dawson Springs, KY; her husband of 29 years ~ Larry Chappell of Dawson Springs, KY; her grandmother ~ Louisa Gilbreath of Bowling Green, KY; two sons ~ Robert Mance (MaryGrace) Chappell of Owensboro, KY and Joseph Kyle (Jill Risse) Chappell of Owensboro, KY; two step-sons ~ Brett (Diana) Chappell of Dawson Springs, KY and Shane (Tiffany) Chappell of Providence, KY; a sister ~ Mary Beth Coy of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Scott (JoAnn) Shelton of Frankfort, KY; a granddaughter ~ Elanor Rose Chappell and three step-grandchildren ~ Brandon (Kelly) Chappell of Evansville, Brittney Chappell of Crofton, KY and Cash Chappell of Providence, KY.



She was preceeded in death by maternal grandfather and her paternal grandparents.



Visitation will begin Friday, March 7, 2014 from 5 until 8 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY and on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 8:00 – 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will at 11:00 A.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Jent and Rev. Steve Coy officiating.



Active Pallbearers will be Mike Morris, Jesse Robinson, Jordan Dever, Frankie Galloway, Joseph Amundson and Rick Bowles.
