Willie Marie Rambo, age 95, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away at 3:25 A.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center, Madisonville, Kentucky. Mrs. Rambo was born June 16, 1917 on their family farm located in 'Savage Hollow;' now better known as a portion of the Pennyrile State Forest to the late John Robert Croft and Willie Hensley Croft. Mrs. Rambo was a beloved wife and homemaker. In her younger days she worked with the Hayes Department Store in Dawson Springs. She was a member of the Trim Street Holiness Church since she was 17 years of age, and later became a member of the Landmark Apostolic Holiness Church both in Dawson Springs.
Mrs. Rambo is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Schroeder, Ilsley, a son, James Anthony Brown, Jacksonville, FL, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mrs. Rambo in death were her parents, her first husband~ Russell Brown, her second husband~ Bennie A. Rambo, a son~ Anthony Brown, three sisters~ Mamie Griggs, Pauline Berry and Lillian Yates, three infant brothers, one infant sister.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Landmark Apostolic Holiness Church in Dawson Springs. Funeral Services will conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Landmark Apostolic Holiness Church in Dawson Springs by Rev. Robert Akers and Pastor Rusty Akers. Burial will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Dawson Springs.
Active pallbearers will be Royce Schroeder, Perry Mitchell, Scotty Mitchell, Steve Carter.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to be made to the Green River Hospice and the Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center, Madisonville.
