Sue Kimmel, 65, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky passed away on October 29, 2012 in the Regional Medical Center of Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Kimmel was born on December 4, 1946 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to the late Fratis K. Bell and Cynthia Frances Jackson Bell. She was a 1964 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she received an Associate Degree from Western Kentucky University.
Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Professionally, Mrs. Kimmel was both a manager and a Vice President of the First Federal Savings and Loan in Dawson Springs for many years, and she and her husband, Virgil, were both self employed and national sales directors of the Conklin Company. Additionally, she was a former member and president of the Business and Professional Womens’ Club of Dawson Springs and the Here and Now Homemakers Club.
Mrs. Kimmel is survived by her husband~ Virgil Kimmel of Dawson Springs, KY. Additionally she is survived by two daughters~ Kathy Sue (Scotty Ray, Jr.) Parsons of Dawson Springs, KY, and Kala Ann Kimmel of Louisville, KY, two granddaughters~ Miranda Rae Parsons and Cynthia Dianne Parsons, and a grand-dog~ Tyson. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers~ James B. Bell, Alan Patrick Bell, and Marshall Glenn Bell.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Beshear Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Beshear Funeral Home, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky conducted by Rev. Randall Rogers, Dr. Larry Davidson, and Elder Jeff Winfrey with burial in Rosedale Cemetery.
