Mrs. Sadie Frey Young

Sadie Catherine Frey Young, age 78, of Reed, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on January 2, 1936 to Louise Page Pickering and the late Bracey Gibbs. She was a nurse for many years at Outwood Hospital and also worked at Goodyear for several years. She was a member of Crofton Baptist Church.



Mrs. Young is survived by her mother ~ Louise Phelps Pickering of Mannington, KY; a daughter ~ Sharon Buchanan (Doug Justice) of Reed, KY; two sisters ~ Linda Stringfield of Mannington, KY and Kaye Compton (Ron) of Crofton, KY; two brothers ~ Joe Phelps (Leida) of Topeka, KS and Johnny Phelps (Connie) of Nortonville, KY; a grandson ~ Gregory Allen Faith and three great-grandchildren ~ Kaitlin Stallins, Katie Faith and A.J. Faith; one niece and four nephews; three great nieces and a great nephew.



She was preceded in death by her father and her husband ~ Charles Douglas Young.



Visitation for Mrs. Sadie Catherine Frey Young will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 and from 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Phaup and Rev. Alan Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.



Pallbearers will be Mike Stringfield, James Bennett, Kevin Stringfield, Fred Barlow, Linda Stringfield and Kaye Compton. Honorary Pallbearers are: Gary Stringfield, A.J. Faith and Greg Faith
