Mrs. Rachel M. Cavanaugh

Rachel M. Cavanaugh, age 87, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY. Mrs. Cavanaugh was born on August 6, 1928 in Caldwell County, KY to the late Ralph Gallaher and Lera Thomas Gallaher. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and a member of Dunn Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.







Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law~ Patricia Ann and John Macdonald of Searsport, ME, Shelia Maurine and Jim Kime of Mt. Sterling, OH and Brenda Joyce and David Whittington of Clermont, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Keith Duane and Teresa Cavanaugh of Dawson Springs, KY; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.







She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William C. Cavanaugh (departed 7/11/2005) and a sister ~ Agnes Eli.







Visitation for Mrs. Rachel M. Cavanaugh will be Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. and Monday, June 27, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Charles Cavanaugh and Rev. David Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.







Active Pallbearers will be Keith Cavanaugh, Justin Cavanaugh, John Macdonald, Shawn Whittington, Brett Pritchett and Todd Chappell. Devin and Gilleon Borland, Ira Eli and Eric Chappell will serve as Honorary Pallbearers .
