Phyllis Ann Inglis, age 74, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Inglis was born on July 10, 1939, in Hopkins County, KY, to the late George and Ethel Blades. She was an interior decorator and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.
Mrs. Inglis is survived by her husband of 52 years ~ Doug Inglis of Dawson Springs, KY; her step-mother ~ Marie Hook of Madisonville, KY; a daughter ~ Holly Ann Oldham of Dawson Springs, KY; a grandson and grand-daughter-in-law~ D.J. & Debra Oldham of Dawson Springs, KY; a granddaughter and grand-son-in-law ~ Cassie and Adam Strader of Dawson Springs, KY; and two great-grandchildren ~ Natalee Oldham and Kendan Strader.
Preceding Mrs. Inglis in death were her parents, step-fathers ~ Raymond Knight and Herman Hook; a son ~ Ken 'Buckwheat' Messamore; a sister ~ Lavell Blades Dunn; and brothers ~ Warren Blades and Kenneth Blades.
Visitation for Mrs. Inglis will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 and from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2013 with Rev. Jeff Graham and Mr. Maurice “Junior” Lisanby officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.
Active Pallbearers will be Eric Maddox, Mike Opalek, Chris Evitts, Terry Travis, Chris Smiley & Sheldon Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jody Johnson, Charlie Hankins, Paul Cotton, Dwight Bruce & David Chappell.
