Mrs. Nancy Joyce Thompson

Nancy Joyce Thompson, age 81, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Thompson was born on June 5, 1932, in Dalton, KY, to the late Earl & Bura McGregor Brown. She was a retired school teacher was a member of Dalton Baptist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Dalton High School and she was a graduate of Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green, KY.



Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband ~ Roy Thompson of Madisonville, KY; a daughter ~ Lesley Deskins of Frankfort, KY; two step-sons ~ David Thompson of Rockhill, SC and Randal Thompson of Marietta, GA; and two sisters ~ Leatrice McNeily of Dalton, KY and Ruth Buchanan of Madisonville, KY.



Preceding Mrs. Thompson in death are her parents and a grandson ~ Nicholas Black Smith.



A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Thompson on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Dalton Baptist Church, 4395 Dalton Road at Frazer Lane, Princeton, Kentucky 42445 with Rev. Dennis Mayfield officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
