Mrs. Mary Frances Stevens

Mary Frances Stevens, age 100, of Richmond, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Telford Terrace in Richmond, KY. Mrs. Stevens was born on October 21, 1915 in Princeton, KY to the late Forrest C. Pogue and Fannye Carter Pogue. Mrs. Stevens and her late husband moved to Dawson Springs in 1938 where she lived until 2008. She moved to Richmond, KY in 2008 where she lived until her death. She was a homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother. Mrs. Stevens was a member of First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs.



Mary Frances enjoyed crafts, especially candle making, and spent many hours volunteering for her church, the Dawson Springs Library, and nursing homes in Dawson Springs.



Mrs. Stevens is survived by a daughter and son-in-law ~ Diane (Paul) Corts of Raleigh, NC; a son and daughter-in-law ~ Douglas (Adrienne) Stevens of Richmond, KY; four grandchildren ~ Victor Stevens, Kenneth Corts, Dan Corts and Susan Corts Hill and eight great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years ~ Paul B. Stevens; a sister; four brothers; and an infant grandchild.



Visitation for Mrs. Mary Frances Stevens will be on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 9-10:30 A.M.. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. David Fambrough and Rev. Randall Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be: Paul Corts, Dan Corts, Ken Corts, Jim Garnett, Bob Tucker and Carl Buzzard.
