Mary “Boots” Samples Trotter, age 88, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of St. Charles, Ky, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at National Health Care in Madisonville, KY. She was born in Hopkins County, KY on November 14, 1923. Mrs. Trotter worked as a nurses aid for many years and also worked in a Greek Restaurant in Detroit, MI. During World War II she worked in an airplane factory in Detroit.
Mrs. Trotter is survived by a two daughters ~ Betty J. Clay of Kansas City, MO and Jackie Trotter of Louisville, KY; a son ~ Jim Trotter of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Trotter in death were her parents ~ Ira & Delcie Copeland Samples; her husband ~ Leonard Monroe Trotter (departed 1997); a brother ~ John Samples, and two sisters ~ Mickey Chaney & Ernestine Hall.
Visitation for Mrs. Mary “Boots” Trotter will be Monday, May 14, 2012 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at
Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev, Jerry Bean officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.
