Mrs. Leatrice J. Pleasant

Leatrice J. Pleasant, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Tradewater Health & Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY. Mrs. Pleasant was born on September 8, 1932 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Claude and Carolyn Davis McKnight. She worked for many years as a nurse at Outwood Hospital and was a member of Lake Grove General Baptist Church. She was a 1951 graduate of Nortonville High School.



Mrs. Pleasant is survived by a son ~ Franklin Pleasant of Madisonville, KY; four sisters ~ Maybelle Sizemore of Madisonville, KY, Zenobia Lanham of Dawson Springs, KY, Stacie Wyatt of Madisonville, KY, and Theresa Woodruff of Dawson Springs, KY; and one brother ~ Bruce McKnight of Great Falls, Montana.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Ray Neil Pleasant and a son ~ Jimmy Lynn Pleasant.



Visitation for Mrs. Pleasant will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. -2:00 P.M.at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2014 with Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Old Suthards Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.
