Ellen Anglin of Dalton, KY passed away September 3, 2011 at 1:45 p.m. at her residence. Ms. Anglin was born June 19, 1942 in Kansas City, MO. She was a 25 year employee for the Hopkins County Board of Education having worked as a custodian at the Dalton and West Hopkins schools. She was a member of the Richland Missionary Baptist Church and for many years was the pre-teen Sunday School Class teacher. Additionally, she served as the PTA President at the Dalton School and was a Junior Pro Coach for girls basketball and was a Girl Scout Leader. She bowled in a bowling league and also worked with Eddie Ballard catering service for a period of time.
Ms. Anglin is survived by five daughters- Connie Leski and Sheryl Loyd both of Dawson Springs, KY; Brenda Thomas of Lexington, KY; Lovie Checkal of Providence, KY; and Angelia Jenkins of Lincoln, MO; and two sons- William Anglin of Lexington, KY and Brice Anglin of Clinton, OK; Four Sisters; Four Brothers; Nine Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews;
Preceding Ms. Anglin in death were her parents- Edward and Edna Border Hoover; her husband- William Anglin; a granddaughter- Leslie Trotter; and an infant sister – Linda Kay Gregory.
Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2011 from 5-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 9:00-1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Jim Lantrip at 1:00 p.m. at Beshear Funeral Home with burial at Dalton Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.
Active pallbearers will be: Vance Martin, Dave Trotter, Cody Anglin, Aaron Anglin, Zachary Alshire and Roy Lowery. Honorary pallbearers will be: Nathan Trotter, D.C. LaPradd, and Travis Green.
