Edith Marie Howton Hulsey, age 87, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Hulsey was born on June 21, 1928 in Olney, KY to the late Alfred Huie and Atha Mae Stallins Howton. She worked for several years at Ottenheimer Manufacturing and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very proud to have been the leader of the musical group “The Kentucky Ramblers” which played music for nursing homes and senior citizen centers in the region.
Mrs. Hulsey is survived by a son ~ Charles Wayne Ishmel Hulsey of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Joan Cotton and Pamela Gale Hulsey both of Dawson Springs, KY; three grandchildren ~ John Cody Cotton, Dustin Tyler Cotton and Joshua Louis Frankel; three great-grandchildren ~ Kierra Peyton Cotton, Ace Frankel and Max Frankel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ~ Charles Wayne Hulsey (departed 12/4/2007); a daughter ~ Andria Mae Frankel; a sister ~ Gertrude Roberts; a brother ~ Elvie Howton; two infant sisters and an infant brother.
Visitation for Mrs. Edith Howton Hulsey will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 with Bro. Tommy Gunn officiating and assisted by Rev. Donnie Howton. Burial will follow in Lafayette Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
