Mrs. Barbara Bernadine Cranor

Barbara Bernadine Cranor, age 68, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. She was born in Colwich, Kansas on November 10, 1946 to the late Elmer Cordell and Hyacintha Mainz Cordell and she was a 1964 graduate of Andale High School. Most recently she worked for several years in the cafeteria of the Dawson Springs Community School and previously she worked for seven years with General Electric. She served her country for five years in the U. S. Navy as a “Wave” and she was a Vietnam Veteran. She was a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church of Dawson Springs.



She is survived by her beloved husband of forty four years ~ James Eugene Cranor of Dawson Springs, KY, one son ~ Jason Cranor of Dawson Springs, KY, and a sister ~ Jackie Neigenfind of Wichita, Kansas.



Mrs. Cranor was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers ~ Freddie Cordell, James Cordell, and Cecil Cordell, and one sister ~ Aletha Prichard.



A Funeral Mass will be held for Barbara Bernadine Cranor on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 11:00 AM with Father Bruce Fogle officiating at the Resurrection Catholic Church, Dawson Springs, KY. A visitation will be held for Mrs. Cranor on Friday evening, February 27, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY, and on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass hour at 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Church. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 PM at Beshear Funeral Home. A Navy Honor Guard will conduct a military honor service immediately after the Funeral Mass at Rosedale Cemetery prior to burial.



Pallbearers are Johnny Cranor, Chris Cranor, Steve Cranor, Bobby Prichard, Randy Neigenfind, and Jeff Cordell.
