Mr. Youlyous Hartwell "Hardy" Jackson

Youlyous Hartwell “Hardy” Jackson, age 92, of Cumming, GA and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Cumming, GA. He was born on June 8, 1923 in Dawson Springs, KY to Etna Allan Jackson and Minnie Lee Beshear Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a plumber and worked for the Chrysler Corporation. He served his country for three years from 1943 through 1946 in the US Army during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater as a staff sergeant.



Mr. Jackson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law ~ Margaret and Rev. Ben Newman of Cumming, Georgia; a granddaughter ~ Lori Pirtle and three great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Jackson in death were his parents, his wife ~ Evelyn Carroll Jackson (departed 3-3-1994), a sister ~ Cynthia Frances Bell (departed 2005) and a brother ~ Bill Jackson.



A funeral service will be held for Mr. Jackson on Sunday, June 21, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Ben Newman officiating. A visitation will be held for Mr. Jackson beginning Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 5:00 until 9:00 PM and on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Ilsley Cemetery with a service provided by a military honor guard.
