Mr. Thomas Earl Shelby

Thomas Earl Shelby, age 75, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mr. Shelby was born on June 18, 1940 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Thomas Franklin Shelby and Lonie Mae Bennett Shelby. He was a graduate of Dawson Springs High School. Mr. Shelby was the produce manager for Sureway for 22 years and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs. His favorite hobbies included camping, fishing, playing cards with his boys, and collecting coins.



Mr. Shelby is survived by his wife of many years, Linda Shelby. Additionally he is survived by a daughter ~ Debbie (Paul) Gunn of Morganfield, KY, and three sons ~ Tommy Shelby of Dawson Springs, Billy (Liz) Morris of Dawson Springs, and Phillip (Patty) Morris of Dawson Springs. He is survived by six grandchildren ~ Jonie Morris, Jamie Morris Hamby, Jennifer Morris Wooten, Stephanie Gunn, Alan Higbee and Candalan Shelby, and six great grandchildren ~ Lilly Hamby, Jaxon Hamby, Karleigh Higbee, Brianna Davis, Austin Davis, and J. T. Wooten.



Preceding Mr. Shelby in death are his parents and a sister ~ Emma Arlene Shelby Morris.



Visitation for Mr. Shelby will by Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jackie Perkins and Ben Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.



Active Pallbearers include: Alan Higbee, Candalan Shelby, Ben Bruce, D.J. Hamby, Doug Steeley, and Jon Wooten. Honorary Pallbearers include: Lonnie Paul Robinson, Tommy Bruce, Ricky Bruce, Keith Steeley, Bruce Oyston and Justin Fulkerson.
