Roy Landis Ray III, age 45, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Ray was born in Nashville, TN on February 24, 1969 to the late Roy L. Ray, Sr. & Sylvia June Ray. He was a certified phlebotomist and worked for a number of years for the American Red Cross and was a member of Missionary Baptist Temple of Dawson Springs, KY. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Eastern Star Chapter #133. Mr. Ray was a member of the Al E. Orten Masonic Lodge #628 and served as past master of the lodge and was also the District Deputy Grand Master for the State of Kentucky District #6.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife ~ Lisa Pagano Ray of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ Roy Landis Ray V of Nashville , TN and Ryan Pagano of Dawson Springs, KY; two sisters ~ Tina Taylor Myers and Jessi Ray both of Nashville,TN; a brother ~ James Hannah of Nashville, TN and a grandson ~ Jace Pagano.
Preceding Mr. Ray in death were his parents; a sister ~ Mary Margaret Ray; three brothers ~ Roy L. Ray, Jr; Kerry Taylor and Steve Taylor.
Visitation for Mr. Roy Landis Ray III will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Masonic Services to be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Robinson, Bill Perry, Jeff Crider, Matt Riley, Jimmy Russell, and Russell Darnell.
