Rickey Howton, age 67, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Mr. Howton was born on February 11, 1945 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Elvie Huie & Bernice Ovelia Ray Howton. He worked for 30 years as a coal miner at Dotiki Mines and was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Howton is survived his wife~ Millie Latham Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; three daughters ~ Luray Travis of Henderson, KY, Melissa “Missy” Morris of Florida & Rhonda Dawson of Dawson Springs, KY; a son ~ Rick Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Kathy Sue Cotton of Dawson Springs, KY; five brothers ~ Rev. Donnie Howton, Jerry Howton, Larry Joe Howton, Gary Dale Howton all of Dawson Springs, KY & Rocky Howton of Princeton, KY; six grandchildren & three great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mr. Howton in death are his parents; brothers ~ Billy Howton; infant twins ~ Randy & Sandy Howton and a grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. Rickey Howton will be on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Beshear Funeral Home with Revs. Donnie Howton & Don Canode officiating. Burial will follow in Dunn Cemetery near Dawson Springs.
