Phillip LaRue Parker, age 69, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Phillip was born on October 29, 1946 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Ebert James Parker and Beatrice Cansler Parker. He retired after working many years at Parker Insurance Company and was of the Christian faith. Phillip enjoyed playing golf and was a volunteer at the Pennyrile golf course. He was a 1964 graduate of Dawson Springs High School.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 51 years ~ Donna Faye Thomas Parker of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Stephanie Biddle of Lexington, KY and Melissa (Alex) Skinner of Madisonville, KY; a son ~ Steven (Shannon) Parker of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Wyvonne (Wesley) Grimes of Hopkinsville, KY; five grandchildren ~ Cole Parker, Sloane Parker, Cody Biddle, Alex Skinner, Jr. and Abe Skinner.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother ~ Rex D. Parker.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 25, 2016, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with the Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Dillingham, Eddie Storms, Bobby Abbott, Ray Crook, Tom Harris, Jerrol Miller, Craig “Doc” Armundson & Ronnie Claxton.
