Phillip Harvey “Cuz” Miller, age 68, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2016 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mr. Miller was born on June 24, 1947 in Madisonville, KY to the late Vadis Miller and Gaynell Thomason Callison. He served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he worked as a Security Officer for many years. Mr. Miller was an excellent banjo player and played for a number of years with the “Clifty Creek Bluegrass Band”. He was of the Christian Faith.
Mr. Miller is survived by a son ~ Phillip (Penny) Miller of Pembroke, KY, two daughters ~ Susan (Scott) Wood of Evansville, IN and Kaylin Miller of Dawson Springs, KY, and two grandchildren ~ Logan Miller and Michael Neill.
Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his parents and a sister ~ Sue Miller.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. Phillip Harvey Miller at 11:00 AM, June 2, 2016 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY. The Tennessee National Guard will provide Military Honor Rites, Pallbearers and the Chaplain for the service. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
