Mr. Melvin "Rocky" Clark

Melvin “Rocky” Clark, age 62, of St. Charles, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence in St. Charles, KY. Mr. Clark was born on August 2, 1954 in Morganfield, KY to the late Melvin Herchel Clark and Wilma Ipock Gass. He was a graduate of Webster County High School. For 38 years he worked as a coal miner and he retired with Warrior Coal Company. Mr. Clark was a Minister of the Christian Faith, and served as the Pastor of the Cranor Community Church in St. Charles, Kentucky for twenty three years. Additionally, he was the bass player for the gospel musical group named, “Higher Vision”.



Mr. Clark is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years~ Susie Camplin Clark; two daughters ~ Ida Marie (Paul) Willis of Owensboro, KY and Rachel Clark (Corey) Wallace of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ Scott (Angel) Clark of Dawson Springs, KY and Stevan Clark and (Jalai) of Owensboro, KY; four sisters ~ Vicki Cherette, Terry Crowell, Tina Newcom, Janet Cain, and five brothers ~ Jimmy Dale Gass, Richard Clark, Terry Clark, Tony Clark, Wayne Gass; and ten grandchildren ~ Dillon & Lacey Holmes; Austin, Skyler, Brooklyn Clark; Gracie, Lexie, Bryson Clark; and Charity & Gage Wallace and his Step Father ~ Jim Gass of Clay, KY.



Preceding Mr. Clark in death were his parents and a sister ~ Brenda Gass.



Visitation for Mr. Clark will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at the Cranor Community Church in St. Charles, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM at the Cranor Community Church in St. Charles, KY with Brother Roy Cherry, Scott Clark, and Brother Charles Bard presiding. Burial will follow at the Cranor Community Cemetery, St. Charles, KY. Active Pallbearers will be Austin Clark, Dillon Holmes, Skyler Clark, Isaac Carter, Corey Wallace and Paul Willis
