Mr. Leon Matheny

Leon Matheny, age 69, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Matheny was born on December 4, 1944 to the late Ruben and Verna Pollard Matheny. He retired from General Motors.



Mr. Matheny is survived by his wife ~ Wanda Matheny of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Vonda Castle and Trish Haulk both of Dawson Springs, KY; five sisters ~ Thelma Dabb of MI, Mary Lezuchowski of MI, Roberta Henderson of Crofton, KY, Aggie Clark of TN and Elizabeth Bourland of TN; two brothers ~ Charles Matheny of St. Charles, KY and Donald Matheny of Dawson Springs, KY; four grandchildren ~ Nikki Castle, Joshua Castle, Kaleigh Jo Haulk and Kenley Haulk all of Dawson Springs, KY.



Preceding Mr. Matheny in death were his parents; and two brothers ~ Lester Matheny and Ruben Matheny, Jr.



Visitation for Mr. Leon Matheny will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 11:00 A.M.– 2:00 P.M.at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Steve Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Matheny, Michael Bourland, Bruce Lezuchowski, Buddy Castle, Roger Hoskins and Darren Woodruff. Jerry Henderson will serve as honorary pallbearer.
