Mr. Joseph Earl Lovell

Joseph Earl Lovell, age 87, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Lovell was born on November 25, 1928 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late James William Wiley “Jimmy” Lovell and Bessie Mariah Sisk Lovell. For 42 years he worked as a welder for local coal mining companies retiring from P & M Coal Company. Mr. Lovell served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was of the Christian faith.



Mr. Lovell is survived by his wife~ Joyce Brandon Lovell of Dawson Springs, KY; three sons & daughters-in-law ~ Tim & Lee Ann Lovell of Georgetown, KY, Matthew & Jean Lovell of Gallatin, TN and Mark & Sandra Lovell of Earlington, KY; two sisters ~ Eva Workman and Vada Bernick both of Evansville, IN; and four grandchildren ~ William Matthew Lovell, Ellen Frances Lovell, Olivia Marie Lovell and Joseph Tyler Lovell.



Preceding Mr. Lovell in death were his parents; his first wife ~ Loretta Bell Lovell; two sisters ~ Lora Mae Haulk and Anna Ruth Howton; two brothers ~ Tommy Lovell and John Phillip Lovell.



Visitation for Mr. Joseph Lovell will be on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday July 28, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Haulk officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, Kentucky with military rites performed by the United States Army.
