Mr. John Phillip Lovell

John Phillip Lovell, age 78, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at his residence with many of his family gathered around him. Mr. Lovell was born on November 2, 1936 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late James William Wiley “Jimmy” Lovell and Bessie Mariah Sisk Lovell. He was a 1955 graduate of Charleston High School and was an Iron worker for Iron Workers Local Union #103 in Evansville, Indiana. Mr. Lovell was a member of Christ Tabernacle Church in Princeton, Kentucky.



Surviving family members include his wife ~ Doris Jane Woodruff Lovell of Dawson Springs, KY; seven daughters ~ Vicki Lynn Stewart of Portage, IN, Jonnetta (Doug) Brown of Dawson Springs, KY, Loveta Jo (Amy) Lovell of Cincinnati, OH, Leona Jan (Louie) Dillingham of Evansville, IN, Kelly Elaine (Rick) Bowles of Dawson Springs, KY, Kathleen James of Ft. Myers, FL, and Shannon Gayle (Mike) Dunlap of Knoxville, TN; thirteen grandchildren ~ Tracey Jones, Faith Hancock, Kassy Lauer, Lindsey Suver, Alyssa Beyleveldt, Cody Hall, Tara Hall, Sean James, Gage Dunlap, Zach Dunlap, Matthew Stewart, Nathaniel Stewart, & Stephanie Henderson; a step-grandson ~ Mathis Bowles; and twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters ~ Eva Workman of Evansville, IN and Vada Bernick of Evansville, IN and one brother ~ Joe Lovell of Dawson Springs, KY.



He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters ~ Lora Mae Haulk and Anna Ruth Howton, a brother ~ Tommy Lovell and a grandson ~ Michael Brown.



Visitation for Mr. John Lovell will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY and again on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:30 PM at Beshear Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Rev. Troy Jent, and burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
